Report by: Stephen Johnson
Date: 10/30/2010
River/Stream: Hooch above Abbotts
Summary:
Report: Took the "Lord of the Ford" aka Greg Grover out today for some up river fishing. Bright sun and the turnover is now in full gear, river has that dull greenish stain.

At first location we stop at Greg casts his "La Menu" rig and gets a brown.  Three more casts and three more browns, I was still rigging up!

We fish down and catch a bunch of fish, mostly browns but some bows as well.

Finally near the end of the day after losing about 3 rigs (9 flies) he converts over to dry/dropper.  We proceed to catch more fish and then run to my favorite end of the day dry fly location.  I tell him to snip off the nymph and use 2 dries (stimulator and a parachute adams).  First cast he gets a double (brown and bow - check out the picture).

Great day had by all.
