Upper Chattahoochee Trout Unlimited - Partnerships and Coalitions

Georgia Department of Natural Resources (GA DNR) Georgia TU maintains a healthy working relationship with GA DNR consulting with them on coldwater conservation in North Georgia.

US Forest Service - Chattahoochee National Forest Many of Georgia’s trout streams lie within the Chattahoochee National Forest. Georgia TU maintains a partnership and active liaison with the Forest Service. Comment on Wildlife and Fisheries Projects in the forest.

National Park Service – Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area Upper Chattahoochee TU and Georgia TU both work closely with and support the staff at the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area.

Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper UCCTU is a long-time member of the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper (UCR). Established in 1994, UCR is an environmental advocacy organization with more than 4,600 members dedicated solely to protecting and restoring the Chattahoochee River Basin.

Chattahoochee Coldwater Fisheries Foundation UCCTU is a supporter of the Chattahoochee Coldwater Fisheries Foundation. Established in 1998, the foundation assists in preserving the Chattahoochee River from its headwaters to West Point Lake.

Georgia Wildlife Federation (GWF) GWF began as a sportsman’s organization in 1936 and since then has grown to become Georgia’s oldest and largest conservation organization. Georgia TU Works closely with GWF on legislative and conservation affairs

Earth Share of Georgia UCCTU is a Member group of Earth Share of Georgia. Earth Share partners with businesses and employees to support more than 60 leading environmental groups through workplace giving campaigns, Earth Day activities and other events.

Georgia Water Coalition Both UCCTU and GA TU are members of the GA Water Coalition. The coalition is a group of individuals and organizations working for a statewide water management plan.

Stop I-3 Coalition Georgia TU is a supporting organization of the Stop I-3 Coalition, working to oppose construction of Interstate 3 which could severely impact North Georgia trout streams.
